The name applied to this Element in the concept reference.
The concept reference together with the name used in that reference serves as a unique identifier for the Element, especially in cases where a single concept reference describes the circumscription of more than one Element.
For communities: The Name Used in Concept Reference usually matches the Global Scientific Name. Name(s) found in the Concept Reference should sometimes also be recorded in Related Concepts.
For existing Elements, the system will automatically display the appropriate name based on the entry in the Scientific Name field in the associated Scientific Name record.
For new Elements, use the 
button to open the Search for Scientific Name window and search for the name applied to this Element in the concept reference. If the name does not yet exist in the NatureServe Central Databases, use the 
button to create a new record in the Scientific Name file.
